Atta Ladoo Recipe / Wheat Flour Ladoo Recipe



I love making ladoos, because they are so versatile, they can be made pretty much with any flour. I have quite a few ladoo recipes in my blog. Ladoos will make a quick sweet for any festivals. Even if you have no time on hand, you can make these in minutes. For this diwali i made three ladoos..This is my first one..Will share other two soon. So i hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turned out for you..


Preparation Time : 5 min
Cooking Time : 15 mins
Makes : 15 ladoos

Ingredients:

Wheat Flour / Atta - 1 cup
Roasted Gram Dal / Pori Kadalai - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Cardamom Powder / Yelakai Podi - 1 tsp
Ghee - 1/2 cup
Cashewnuts - 3 tblspn chopped finely

Method:

Take sugar and roasted gram dal in a mixer and powder it finely.

Heat 2 tblspn in a kadai. Add in cashews and fry till golden. Remove it to a bowl and set aside.

Add in wheat flour and fry for few mins till light golden and aromatic.

Add in powdered sugar and porikadalai powder and mix well.

Add in the remaining ghee and mix well.

Roast it for few more mins till the sugar is little melted and it starts to get little moist and golden brown.

Now add in cardamom powder and fried cashews.

Mix well and take it off the heat. Allow the mix to cool down.

Take a small portion from this and shape it into tight ladoos.

Store this in a air tight container and serve.

Take all your ingredients


Take sugar in a blender


powder it finely


In the same blender add in roasted chana dal


Powder it finely


Take 2 tblspn of ghee in a kadai


Add in cashews


Fry till golden


Remove it to a bowl


In the remaining ghee


add in wheat flour


Roast it till nice aroma comes


now it is toasted well


add in powdered sugar and porikadalai powder


mix well


heat it till the sugar starts to melt


You see now the sugar has started to melt


add the remaining ghee till the mix gets moist


The colour will change to dark brown


add in cardamom powder


add in the fried nuts


mix well


remove it to a bowl and let it cool a bit


take small portion in your hands


shape it into balls


done


serve
